Thousands Raised to Support Scholarships for Students

The Brookdale Community College Foundation honored Pat Battle of NBC4 New York and Tim McLoone, restaurateur and philanthropist, at the 2013 Brookdale Scholarship Ball on Thursday, May 9, at Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club, Farmingdale. The festive event attracted other 200 individuals from Monmouth County and raised nearly $65,000 to support the Foundation’s mission. Sarah Brown, a Brookdale student and scholarship recipient, spoke at the event and thanked the Foundation’s donors and supporters for helping her and the hundreds of other scholarship students achieve their dream of earning a college degree.

Escobedo and Sattenspiel, who also serve as Vice President, are Brookdale alumna and serve on the Brookdale Foundation Board of Trustees. Funds were raised through sponsorships, ads, ticket sales and a gift, silent and live auction.
