Students Face Off in Campus Game Show

Dozens of students came out for free lunch, skills contests and the chance to achieve game show glory on Sept. 15 as part of Brookdale’s annual Welcome Back Week.

In the second of five Welcome Back Week activities, students went head-to-head in a live action Trivia Game Show in the Student Life Center, answering questions about the college, popular culture and general knowledge topics.

Keyshawn Lawson, Armani Louis and Chelsea Peniston each came out on top, winning gift cards for the Scroll and Pen Bookstore.

Following the trivia portion and a free catered lunch, audience members joined the Brookdale Jersey Blues mascot in a series of skills challenges, including cup stacking and hula-hooping. Attendees were also treated to free glasses of Bubble Tea, courtesy of the Brookdale Student Life Board.

Welcome Back Week, hosted by Brookdale’s Office of Student Life and Activities, will continue with the following events:

  • On Wednesday, Sept. 16, students are invited to Brookdale’s annual CeLIBration in the Bankier Library, featuring free food, games, contests and an iPad Mini raffle beginning at 11:30 a.m.  Then return for a free outdoor screening of “Jurassic World” on the Student Life Center’s lower patio beginning at 8 p.m.
  • Welcome Back Week concludes with a Jersey Blues Tailgate Party on Thursday, Sept. 17 beginning at 11:45 a.m. in the visitor’s parking lot near the BAC building. Join the Student Life Board, the Brookdale Cheerleading squad, the Jersey Blues mascot, and your fellow students for an afternoon of food, fun and funnel cake.
