Imagine admiring the Eiffel Tower on your way to the college library. Completing an associate degree at Brookdale provides the chance. An articulation agreement between Brookdale and American University of Paris (AUP) guarantees admission to Brookdale graduates from select humanities and social sciences programs, provided they have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The agreement may result in study abroad opportunities, as well.
Interested students met March 5 with Dr. Marc Montheard, AUP vice president and dean of students, to learn more.
Founded in 1962, AUP is an American institution accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Students come from many different nations and bring various cultural perspectives. Because it is an American institution, students are eligible for federal loans and financial aid. In addition, scholarships are also available to American students.
The university is located in the heart of Paris, and the all buildings are all within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. Besides a multicultural education, AUP offers sports, clubs and internships. Alumni include more than 15,000 people from 141 different countries. Graduates have gone on to work at such places as the Commercial Bank of Kuwait, Google in France and the United States Department of Energy.
Additional information about the university is available on its website. For information on transfer, see a Brookdale counselor. For information on study abroad opportunities, contact Janice Thomas, director of the International Center, at 732-224-2174.
