Middletown’s Scharfenberger named to Freeholder board

Middletown Township Committeeman Gerry Scharfenberger had his resignation letter all typed up, signed and in an envelope Saturday morning when the Monmouth County Republican Executive Committee members were voting on who would replace Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso on the Board of Freeholders.
