Fourth Annual Brookdale Writers Read

The Art Alliance of Monmouth County and the English Department at Brookdale Community College will jointly hold their fourth Brookdale Writers Read. 

Sheila Link, Sportswoman and Firearms Writer, Dies at 94

Sheila Link, a former college music major and bass player who transformed her life to pursue altogether different passions — firearms and the outdoors — becoming a noted authority on both, died on March 30 at her home in Palm Desert, Calif. She was 94.

Experts Discuss Opiate Crisis

Community members are invited to a free, expert-led panel discussion on the nation’s ongoing opiate epidemic at 6 p.m. on April 11 at Brookdale Community College, 765 Newman Springs Road, in the Lincroft section of Middletown Township.

EXHIBIT USES HISTORY TO FIGHT AGAINST HATE

A new exhibit on the Brookdale Community College campus explores three of the 20th century’s worst genocides through the eyes of local survivors and their families – and also challenges visitors to think about the important lessons to remember about the Holocaust and genocide in today’s world.

Brookdale to Host Shakespeare Birthday Bash

Brookdale Community College will celebrate the 454th birthday of William Shakespeare with the eighth annual Shakespeare Read-A-Thon on Thursday, April 26 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in Lincroft. 

Brookdale Community College Open House

High school students, career-changers and residents of all ages are invited to meet with Brookdale Community College staff, ask questions and explore more than 50 degree and career training programs offered through the college.
