Brookdale to Offer New Hospitality Management Degree

Residents interested in careers in event planning, travel, tourism, gaming, hotel and restaurant management, theme parks and other hospitality fields are invited to a free information session for Brookdale Community College’s new hospitality management degree program, held at 5:30 p.m. on July 26 in Lincroft.

Brookdale to Host Open House for New Facility in Wall 

Community members are invited to explore Brookdale Community College’s new 37,000-square-foot classroom facility in Wall Township on July 12 during a public open house, held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the college’s Wall location, 800 Monmouth Blvd.

Shakespeare on the Lawn Returns July 13

Brookdale Community College’s 16th annual “Shakespeare on the Lawn” series will kick off July 13 on the Great Lawn of the Lincroft campus, 765 Newman Springs Road.

Brookdale Appoints Interim President

The Brookdale Community College Board of Trustees voted unanimously on June 20 to appoint vice president David Stout as the college’s interim president, beginning on July 1.

‘Songwriters on the Beach’ Returns July 13

Brookdale Public Radio’s annual Songwriters on the Beach concert series will return to Belmar this summer with weekly performances by acts such as Sonny Landreth, Wesley Stace, Tommy Stinson, Ari Hest, Hamish Anderson and The Grip Weeds.

More than 260 community members helped celebrate Brookdale Community College’s 50th anniversary and raise a record amount for local students during the Brookdale Foundation’s 2017 Scholarship Ball, held June 9 at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale.
